Training programme consists of theoretical and practical training.
Theoretical training:
- Air law;
- General information about aircrafts: its construction, devices and etc.;
- Flights’ characteristics and planning;
- Flights’ procedures;
- Manual of an aircraft;
- Human’s capabilities to fly;
- Meteorology;
- Air navigation;
- Theory of a flight;
- Radio phraseology.
Practical training, 18 hours:
Sailplane pilot is taught to perform a proper check of an aircraft, prepare it for a flight, to understand the rules of a take off and land in a different ways, to be able to pilot a sailplane in all operating conditions.
Students who pass theoretical and practical flights’ exams at Civil aviation administration (CAA), get a sailplane pilot licence. An owner of a licence gets a right to pilot aircrafts which are named on a licence independently.
